It is a bothering thing. I object the thought of constant self-portraying what comes to images produced as an artist. Pictures and texts are products with framing, analytical or not, telling something of the world around. My pictures and texts can of course be seen in certain frame of personal view to my life, disturbingly strongly. Photography is a case if timing and instant observation for me. It is not planned activity, in my case. So how much can my images be portraits of the taker is a question I wonder. It is also a very often faced a sort of accusation what comes to making art and presenting it that it is therapy and reflections of a troubled mind. So there is always some kind of mental state and problem going on, in a process.

I do reflect myself, how else, and very sensitive issues, but not my pathology or illness of any kind. Troubled world is what I see and that is where I live. I want to solve it and it is a puzzle indeed. Do not make simple judgments not with my pictures, with me or with anything. Simplicity hardly ever gives the right answer as we are so very complex.

I don’t know if it is ancient times meeting the future or just pure suburban rage of colored women. They are the ones inventing dance at the moment as ever and they have got the sexiest bodies with figures to show. It is a mind-blowing act, space invading total awareness of one’s sexuality and building it in public. The whole woman is a vulva. Complete stating of self-confidence, claiming of self, expressing creatively without authority by grabbing the obstacles like steel fences, walls and poles (penises to rub against) and take over a sexist state of mind making sexism belong to the target of oppression. This I understand as control. Controlling what kind of pleasure is given, who has the most pleasure and fun is the one who has new tricks. Who owns this body you are watching, why are you watching, I like that you are watching, what do you dare to do fucking pussy.
It is a dazzling moment of I don’t know what to think of this invasion of bodies, but I don’t wish it to go away. It is a kind of street-wise dance revolution. Dancers imitating sex on dance floor as if we were going back in time when the main reason for dancing was to attract and find a partner to breed, when there was no shame in having sex and liking it.

It is clear since the beginning of her career independence and strength of femininity have been core issues in her music. But that is the case for many successful female artists. Focus on showing their capability as women and encouraging others. What comes to celebrities Beyoncé is the one of the few who publicly state and promote feminism and calls herself a feminist. In her videos and music she is openly sexual, feminine and posing her assets to the world as any pop star provocatively. In this way looking she is very similar to for example Rihanna, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj who all are artists and music personalities creating their image, some more and some less. Though of their image and art it is difficult to tell who is making who and does it matter what we actually know about the making of a pop star. I think we should be aware. Level and mastering of manipulation is all what being a celebrity is about. Feminism in this landscape is a curse, a word usually banned and feared. Image of a feminist is opposite to gorgeous and sexy stars. How often feminists are said to be ugly. It is like the worst thing, hideous female who does not attract anyone, but is full of hate and grudge. Ignorance and prejudice is huge upon those who seek justice. Women are not allowed to be angry for being harassed, hated, killed, diminished, put down and treated as second class citizens.
Sexual expression, what is it exactly? Where does the limit go if there is any? And why is it empowerment and not sexism? Empowerment through sexism is a strange thought. It is getting gifts via pleasing the right way. Entertainment is the ultimate pleaser. To please to get the wanted thing and impact. Pop singers and performers like to state that they are in control. It is interesting to explore that control which they refer as theirs, rules that they see as settings of theirs.
Much of what we can take and understand must be lined inside ideals. Outside are left the things unwanted.

Well yes it is amazing what a man can do.
I was not going to write about this but I’m going to anyway, human nature what can one do about it. Not beat it at least. Natura corrupt and there is no way to defeat it, to be better than nature of ours, nature of mine is to become a robot. Meaning not letting desires and hormones get the best out of you. Self-control, rational conscious learning of living with people. It can go horribly wrong. It is a strict code and manipulation to live as a human and nothing is set. Knowing what to do even when you don’t. Mostly we are not 100% sure of anything.

The thing is out there and in here, the beast and survival of the fittest is not going anywhere. Do we still know what it is all about to be human? There is a lot of negative things out and in use. For what I know we very much think we know ourselves and what is good to do. We know and like to think we know our fellow human beings as well. Of course.

The act of knowing, of beginning to know, of letting know, informing. We must know what is true and be true to ourselves. Is it at any cost and is true to oneself deceitful to someone else?

A question time again.
Why there still is such naivety about expressing sexuality which stereotypes reveal and why am I bothered by this? Naivety that brings out immature brutality. Why those who put sex in front rely on naive lust and fantasy and call it liberation? Woman crawling on a beach like a horny animal means she is free? What is she portraying is a famed woman on her way to her husband saying she has been drinking and thinking. Some kind of everyday imagery which I can like or dislike. Anything other than the ordinary is not there.

To create monetary value of this magnitude we have to define perfection, frame it, follow idea of simplicity stereotyping characters. Perfecting money-making machinery. What do we want and how do we want it is what we need to know to get it. Define sexy, sexy defining everything as wealth and possession. That is what we need to be, in charge and owning.
