Don’t conquer the world, it is not good for the world. If you know what I mean…
Women under attack
Women are under attack mentally and physically no matter which culture we live in. Female body and controlling it seems to be one stepping stone of those so-called developed countries and developing countries. Abortion, marriage, virginity as a prize for men, wearing clothes to hide her persona and sex in order not to disturb, in order not to be anything but domestic help and a subject of men, women under strict legislation and under contempt as unholy and ripped out of human dignity. Due to our religions and the heritage they bring women are under attack: mutilated, raped, diminished, killed and put down in a manner that is appalling and criminal. In Islam women are under supervision as children or worse as animals without say over their lives. Because of their sex and assumed notorious nature as men seducing beings, women who are a menace to whole of society for their sex and sexuality are outcasts, outlaws and whores by nature, vicious with demonic qualities.
As I look at womanhood of mine and place it as it is, it has been nothing but a threat to others. Something for somebody else to want and use. Under looking-glass, under severe observation and talk, under sheer contempt and ill where women as persons and people are put without second thought. It is alarming since I have thought we live in a civilized country. Country that considers it civilized, but there is a big BUT. As civilized as we are we rely much on religion. As secular as Finland seems to be in its modernity we like our Christian values. As does Europe. Christianity on one hand is not modern. It is ancient as is Islam. Unchanging and relying on that. Whether we wish to be ancient or modern seems to vary on the matter at hand. We like our technology and our progress faith wipes out for example historical architecture if there is profit in sight. What comes to marriage as an institution and deciding over fetuses life there are puzzling traditionalist voices that are loud and listened to whether they are valid or not. Violence of religious fundamentalists is in their voices and in their deeds. Is violence God’s work? I seriously doubt that.
Threat of sexuality is that it affects our morals, our behavior and how our children become to see what society is and can be. We are very sexual beings, we express our sexuality with everything we do whether we deny sexuality or let it show as it is. Everything is expression. Sexuality cannot be escaped therefore it is dangerous. Do people who deny variety of sexual behavior have high morals?
Woman in a bar alone has set connotations, she has intentions. She is there for a reason. What is she wearing, how is she sitting, how much is she drinking, what is she doing. How to look at her, can she be approach, what to say to her. Threat of womanhood, woman who is pathetic if he is alone. Woman cannot be alone, she is attacked, her intentions are there on her stamped. Her loneliness is her burden and fault. There is something wrong with her.

Is conquering the world an essential goal for Europe? What is there to conquer other than material possessions?
The whole idea of taking over a market is preposterous. To take over markets to rule the world, whatever markets there are. To take over graphics and ratings to show off. Markets that consumers make, that are us. The question is how do we change ourselves and our behavior since we affect the whole world as a market still by consuming or not consuming. To take over minds of consumers is to give maps and guide how to act. For experts to tell us what we are doing wrong. What is ultimately wrong as we struggle in financial depression that does not seem to go away, fade away from our backs. Why do we struggle so much in this constant turmoil of a floating state of misery? We see where we probably should be going but do not act upon it. There are many advises, advisers, but still we do not move from this thing. Why is it so much an agony to change a way of thinking? Because it should be complete?
One example is the voting for gay marriage. Finland is in principle a secular country, but still when it comes to issues of altering a way of thinking that is an ancient relic, we have a huge fight over it. Bible is certainly dragged into it and rights of children. We are worried. Let me remind you that the world is built by the straight world view. It is not a pretty sight. Must be God’s work. Hypocrisy is so obvious and ridiculous. In a secular country religion does not dictate legislation. Religion, Christianity in this case, has lots to say in who has the right to maintain power structures as they have been, who has a say over what changes and what not and how those structures function for society, to benefit who. Religion to decide over people’s lives is walking on thin ice. In a country where church and state are separate issues of who can get married should have been solved already.
Ideas to conquer the world? To make the markets profit. Isn’t the big picture made of small dots.
Conservatism is driving the world into destruction.
What is conservatism now? How do we define it other than something solid that likes its solidness and unchanging character. Conservative finds nobility in his/her old-fashioned identity, believes in building a nation via traditions and how things have been and have been done before. How things look bright when they are polished and anything that may break that shiny image must be ranked and whipped out. There are of course mild conservatives, far right conservatives and mid road conservatives, conservatives who deny their conservativeness, conservatives who do not recognize their position as hindering change, equality, preservation of nature and think they are very liberal and approbative in their thinking and actions. For conservatives there are many taboo subjects, such topics which constantly are on the battle field of human rights issues. Sexuality is a huge no-no. Abortion..hello! Sex in art, nudity, portrayal of sexuality are still an abomination. Conservatives do not seem to notice the reality. They deny the reality, character of reality and make their own be reality of everyone else too. Not surprisingly conservatives are the most wealthy people, hold the most power and have true faith in God. They like to use their faith as a tool against progress, against human rights kind of progress. Those who make the most profit, make the most destruction and mold the society. What is God’s work in there one might ask?
Tehdä muutos näkyväksi
Kuinka puhua vaikeista aiheista, ja kuinka puhua niin, että keskustelu olisi muutakin kuin vastustusta tai puoltamista. Aiheet kuten seksi, huumeet, autoilu, kasvatus, elintaso ja sen vaikutukset ilmastonmuutokseen saavat aikaan vilkasta keskustelua ja herättävät tunteita. Nimenomaan tunteita. Suurinta osaa asioista joita joko vastustamme tai joita puollamme ajattelemme tunteella. Loogisuus on toisinaan kaukana ja nousemme takapuoli edellä puuhun jos on tarve. Toisinaan tuntuu siltä että ainoa tarve on olla oikeassa. Ajatuksia siitä mikä on oikein ja väärin päättelemme juuri kuinka asiat tuntuvat ja näyttävät. Mitä tulisi tehdä lamassa ja kenenkin kohdallaan, mitä sanomista jollakulla toisella on jonkun toisen elämään, kuinka vaikuttaa yleiseen mielipiteeseen ja kuinka saada nimenomaan positiivinen kestävä vaikutus, mahdollisimman montaa ihmistä koskettava positiivinen vaikutus.
Itse koen keskusteluilmapiirin Suomessa melko vilkkaaksi ja rakentavaksikin. Toisaalta hämmästelen konservatiivisten ajatusten voimaa ja monen tarvetta lytätä. Toisaalta uskallammeko sanoa mielipiteemme niinkuin ajattelemme? Konservatiivista on vastustaa muutosta, koska muutos edustaa jotakin tuntematonta joka on tulossa ja tekeytymässä näkyväksi valtavirraksi joka tapauksessa. Millaiseksi yhteiskuntamme sitten muuttuu kun vanhoillinen kanta pitää pintansa hanakasti vuodesta toiseen ja kaupallisuudelle annetaan auliisti tilaa sitä sen enempää kyseenalaistamatta? Rahan mahti yleensä tahtoo säilyttää valtarakenteet jotka hyödyttävät rahan tekoa. Voiko olla mitään konservatiivisempaa. Vanhoillisena pidän pitäytymistä fossiilisten polttoaineiden ja ydinvoiman käytössä, homouden ja homoliittojen vastustamista henkeen ja vereen, aikuisuuden arvostamista lapsuuden ja nuoruuden yli, edistysuskovaisuutta, jonka vuoksi maamme vanha rakennuskanta on saatu hupenemaan hulppeaa vauhtia parkkipakkojen ja kuutiohallien tieltä. Naisten oikeuksien vähättelyä pidän supervanhoillisena, lihansyönti vastaan kasvissyönti tappelu on suorastaan naurettava (että köyhällä ei ole varaa ostaa kasviksia kun on syötävä lihaa. MEIDÄN ON SYÖTÄVÄ LIHAA). Suomi tarvitsee tällaisten kestämättömien ajatustapojen välittömän muutoksen. Nyt eikä kahdenkymmenen vuoden päästä. Meillä ei ole varaa ylimielisyyteen, ylivarojen elämiseen eikä pröystäilyyn. Etenkään meillä ei ole varaa halveksua vaihtoehtoisia elämäntapoja kuten kasvissyöntiä. Jonakin päivänä olemme kaikki enemmän kasvissyöjiä, koska lihan tuottaminen yksinkertaisesti kuluttaa liikaa energiaa ja vettä.
