Left behind/ Taakse jätetty 2012

There is bitterness and hurt. In political game there is always much to gain. Power corrupts has been proved true many times over. To make a revolution benefit everyone not first financially but emotionally and mentally is an ideal and to make people learn from mistakes of theirs and others would be the best revolution ever.

What kind of revolutions are at hand now? Technological advancements are spreading fast and doing just that, revolutionary evolution of man firstly on level of ideas and how ideas are put to use. Is there anything natural about it what we are experiencing now and what is the revolution part? There is no exact beginning nor end. Changing our ways of interacting, working and living is research that is interesting in terms of how we make our lives. How well do we cope with dramatic changes and altering of everyday life. It is a fast modification happening, which requires altering of habits and patterns of our thinking. Making the globe more democratic than ever, accessible. Is everyone accessible? Even the word change expects something of the individual. Emotional involvement, subjective experience, determination, devotion and work.

Human development is a complex process and it is hugely neglected by everyone, double oops. This is my claim. Hugely neglected are also human possibilities. There can be a dad who looks at his child and says out loud: that child is going to be trouble, that child will not be anything. I ask Why do you hate your child? Everyone will be something, but what, and what are people suppose to become and be is a good question. It is very common, believe it or not, to judge and treat children of your own by the most harsh ways. There is no way for anyone to know what will be, but parents are creating paths for their children which they can follow if he/she believes what parents or anyone close by is saying. So what to believe? Yes it is a cruel world, but oh there are ways to make it less cruel and the ways are very simple. They require kindness and an open mind at least. Is it too much to ask? Such a thing does not cost a thing.

You do not have kindness in your heart, learn it. It goes like this: how can I do and say things that would cause the least hurt. If you do not know what someone else is thinking or you see there are problems ASK if you can do something.

It does not absolutely mean you have to be mother Teresa, but  it would not hurt to do things like her. Sometimes it just means shut the fuck up. You think ill, because it is fun for you, don’t let it out and fun is overrated. There is enough bullshit already.

Most problems in the world are due to lack of knowledge, holding on to superstitions, prejudices, following too tightly on traditions, greed, ignorance, neglect and indifference. Understanding the circumstances, what can be done to them, what needs to be changed and what are individual tools, means, methods, gains and losses. To understand what one could do differently, to evaluate possibilities. What are my influences and how do I influence. Everyone is a role model, it matters what one does and says. Every action has a reaction.

How to make revolution in the world without killing anyone, in other words are arms and artillery necessary and to what extent? Is warfare primary cost for a nation to get built and on whose expense does this happen? There is a gigantic challenge and need to evolve peaceful. Involvement of people in making peace and understanding their part, which must go up and down on every social level and class. Ideal would be classless society. Scandinavian welfare model is more or less hopefully turning to that direction. What would that mean, what kind of progress makes society classless or is it just a utopia? It requires involvement of everyone to want that to happen. No one can think this or that is someone else’s problem. Biggest changing force on any level is money and who has it. Also what is the price of work and what is valuable work to do goes along with idea of class. What makes/gives value to working. Who makes the value and why? How is value made, how does money circulate and which part goes to public services. What kind of people use those services, what kind of reputation do public services have and how well can those services be reached. Who reaches for them, clings in them, is depended on them. The most ways we are divided are by possessions, wealth and what do we do in our lives. Family, education, gender, place of origin, habitus/habitude (bearing), ideas, thoughts, deeds, history and future plans. What kinds of plans one is able to make and achieve tells a lot about society one inhabits.

Class and heritage which follow us are basically essential part of one’s identity, your roots and position to look from and at others and the environment. What is the perspective given (and taken)? How possibilities and advancing in life are seen in one’s class for you. What kind of mental atmosphere one’s class members make? What kind of place you are given and what kind of place you are able to take. How much effort one must see to pursue one’s dreams and individual plans. How much class and family dictates what you will become?

fuckingstupidwhore what did you say?

What is the nature of a revolution? an answer to violent oppressive situation, an instant modification of an unjust state of things, solution stop collapse event invention demand energy belief clash bash dash cash wash hash

nature is it keeps moving, biscuit to bite, crumbling

It can be wonderful, it will be. And yes I really mean it. Mad housewife era legs apart in standing position in front of the microphone guilty of wearing a black T-shirt. Oo la laa.

♥Path of making human rights happen is and has been long and dangerous, too long I must add, but it is worth walking for many reasons. Behind the claims for human rights is thought of human worth as such, it goes without questioning. Appreciation for life as possession is based on assumption, knowledge and belief a person has worth as irreplaceable individual, unique miracle. Yes you are a unique miracle! Mixing religion into it – life is God-given and it is not people’s place to judge, torture or end someone’s life. Uniqueness is a fact, beauty of life despite horrors and bullshit is precious.

There, now we can begin to think God’s starting points in creating us. Why on Earth? Must be a mistake.

Questions of human’s duties, responsible decent human being does tasks of everyday life to survive. In that sense life is more about responsibilities than rights. I think this from my point of view that duties are to sustain life of mine, my family and make lives of my fellow citizens more comfortable.

Questions on human rights, how are they fought, gained and sustained. Rights? Do I have nothing but rights, what about responsibilities, duties. What is my duty as a human being now to do? What can I say to cyber bullies for example? Go fuck yourselves.

Those who have responsibilities in the making and taking can be called active members of an evolving society. Responsible society takes care of its members, but also makes responsible. People who know their responsibilities. How do they become to know what is expected of them? Is it a question of education, learning from example?

It is of course give and take. Pleasure and nuisance.

Self-portrait 1998

Where have all the Flowers gone? Fight of the Feminists, Feminism the ugly bad word. Why I feel so strongly about this is because anyone in her right mind would, secondly is because I am that girl. There has been a substantial amount of discrimination against me, diminishing me as a woman, artist, worker and as a person. There is no end to that until someone puts an end to that.

Women and girls make up half of the human population of the world. But they represent a staggering 70% of the world’s poor. Poor education, healthcare, nutrition, violence remains the main obstacles for women to empower themselves and their families. In many countries baby girls aren’t welcomed, they get aborted or killed when young. Due to latest news there are 60 Million girls missing in India alone because of gender inequality and sex selective abortion. It is a silent genocide happening every day. Things change all too slowly and why is that? In many respects there is not much respect for women to educate, to let them speak for themselves, let them take the lead if they choose to. As it happens even women do not respect sex of their own. Sex selective abortion is one of many appalling ways to hate female sex. But how we are appalled by hate without noticing hate we carry ourselves. What I mean by that?

What is a woman? I work all my life to be respected as an equal person, and I have to work for it. Is that why I work, to be respected? It is in some sense understandable in some not. Literally to work my ass off to do that, get it. How I see it I stand alone. Woman who has guts to speak her mind and do things her way is an oddity, a target. I cherish my oddity. Is there respect for anything if there is constant doubt? Without trust there is no respect. BANG!

What kind of an impact struggles of working-class have had to this day we live now, and how much are our struggles similar to those fought, different than those going on today that are, were fought, are being fought. Paycheck, length of the working day, working conditions, safety issues, holidays, paternity and maternity leaves, kindergartens, schooling for children of working-class families, inexpensive and decent housing, democratic institutions, inexpensive healthcare, equal rights for everyone to live a good life, possibilities to study and work. Welfare that offers chances to grab life instead of losing it. Those who cannot take care of themselves are taken care of. It is a long list of benefits that must be taken into consideration to make a sustainable and equal welfare state.

”Work and pray, live on hay/ You’ll get pie in the sky when you die” The Preacher and The Slave, 1911
”Heaven above, and ours Hell right here ,I ain’t a Communist necessarily, but I’ve been in the red all my life.”

Political message into the arena of entertainment, books I imagine in my hand, small, worn out with yellowish smelly pages, the ongoing rebel, ongoing inspiration of coal miners, their wives, copper miners, their wives, textile workers, their husbands, Me inspired by Woody Guthrie, This Land Is your Land, 1944. ”I am out to sing songs that will prove to you that this is your world..that make you take pride in yourself and your work” Woody Guthrie’s mission statement which he read on the radio 1944 in his weekly show on New York’s WNEW.

This is a kind of Poem, this is a kind of scribbles, I end up seeing the same thing, a pattern, but I cannot put my finger on it

”Failed to quicken the pulse, Ella May Wiggins who was shot dead during the Gastonia textile strike 1929, hero of the left. Message belonged to whoever stuck a flag on it. And increasingly the flag was red.” ”common man full of bad luck and violent ends.”Dorian Lynskey, History of protest songs, 33 revolutions per minute, 2010

Violent beginnings, startling start, I took these words from this book I found added them here next to my words, I gave words back to you, you do what you can with them.

What has happened to a worker before? What happens to a worker now?

Is he/she called a worker anymore, the proletarian, or is it employee, staff, labourer. We have short history of couple of industrial revolutions in a row during which many other kinds of revolutions have taken place. Feminist movement, sexual revolution, contraception, women’s right to go to work and have a career. We are still fighting for that right on many levels. But all in all women’s rights have taken big steps forwards globally, lots is still to be done.

the unemployed – people regarded as morally suspect and of negligible social worth.

There are personal hells people go through, maybe unimaginable for people living with everything desired within reach. It seems to be convenient for some to let mass of people live in poverty, and there is plenty of reason to question why is it convenient to let hells like homelessness, hunger and constant violence stay in people’s lives. Life lived as unavoidable turmoil and an error. The gap between rich and poor could be reduced if there was will to do so. There is enough knowledge and wealth to demolish extreme poverty right this minute. How many well-off people would be ready to live with less? Less with what would be the next question. For example take the bus and cut meat out one’s diet would be a good start. To begin to think there is something that everybody can do instead of there is nothing that can be done. TV is out of the window, again.
