fell down from 34th floor

”The following day, she was found dead on the roof of the delicatessen, 33 floors below an open window of their apartment, her body having hit the surface so hard that her head left an imprint. Even her death echoed her art.”

Faith of a woman, destiny of hers is to be immortalized as beautiful statuette, a silhouette with dimension of mystery, timelessness, body, hair and skin. Placed not taking place nor position other than what is given to her only in terms of her outer qualities and where she comes from. Who is she and will she know herself? It can be tragic to be a woman especially if one is alone. It is a game we must play.

Oh what, adult content on my feed? It is possible, because mostly your bourgeois insights bore me.

Just read about prudishness while giving head.
Yes it is a thing to worry.
Strange contents of social media
and what should be thought about it.

In 1995 it was world in recession and I thought what should I do. I had just graduated and restaurants were not hiring.

detail of a pencil drawing of mine from 1995

I feel the world is still in that same recession. It is a low not only of finance, but courage and compassion. I still worry, but at least I am not completely under rule of employers. Some of the rules I make myself. I am still tested what can I do, can I do anything. I am still evaluated the same way like an empty bottle that can filled with something funny. Have I chosen well how to make my path? Damn right I have. In the world of slaves and despots it is good to know what one is willing to do and what not.

Built from the street?

I idealize prostitutes, sex workers. Should I defend myself for it? In movies they are often the most beautiful characters, flamboyant, fleshy, flashy, loud, hurt, always getting up from some deep hole, beaten, spat at, surviving. Cars and prostitutes, clothes and postures, bending, asses, legs, shoes, gestures, suggestions, make-up, fed up faces, police stations. Prostitutes the individuals and persons, strength, misery, injustice, choice, fast lived life, death which somehow is around the corner. In my mind there is an image of unshameful femininity and not at all defeated, but standing on high heels. To me it seems I am not alone with this. They, those women, hookers are well represented in our culture, talked about, shouted out, shouted at. We are curious about those beings who sell their bodies. Generally prostitutes are seen the lowest of the low, victims and drug users and in this country hookers are not visible other than in movies and on TV. So they as people are kind of real life imaginary creatures, secrets and whispers, forbidden and wanted. In movies prostitute is a common character. They light up the police station and the dark alley, brothels are colorful hideaways where people can anonymously get whipped.
Whores are interesting people to whom happen things that normal working people may not face. The ordinary and normal can be appalled by it. Prostitutes look like fairy tales, fairy tale figures, fantasies themselves fulfilling fantasies of others. It is terrible to call someone a whore. It is terrible to end up a whore against will of one’s own. Much is emphasized on the horror of prostitution, brutality of sex trade. Abolishing the business hardly is possible, hypocrisy on the other hand makes lives of prostitutes difficult. Contradiction is curious as I see prostitutes are much imitated in entertainment, fashion photography = advertising. Dangerous living is a luring image, a fantasy which is the imitated possession of prostitutes, their wealth, a lifestyle.

Puddle 2000

One in a billion. Is it the girls running? Girls running with all that money. It is Genitalia Marathon.

What do celebrities who now get the most coverage in media have to say? What is their message? Do you know and is it something worth while thinking about? What is the message of celebrity culture as a whole? Attitude and fierceness to be bold looking good? Is there a one message as it quickly gazed might seem? Influence is massive. Who runs the world? Girls who want their behinds bigger via plastic surgery? Financial winnings made within the culture of entertainment for the artists and their creators can be whopping. Their power is measured in magazines by calculation of how much. Industry flourishing out from movies, sports and music, fashion, magazines and other merchandise do well with right face, with right kind of exposure and bravery.

What is the real power here is an interesting thing to look through. Could the answer be as simple as who does best financially and what kind of message does that person have. What kind of story and continuity person’s career has had and will have. Future prospects and who is listening. The list of the most powerful celebrities by Forbes from this year 2014 introduces Beyoncé as the most powerful celebrity. Grounds for her number one spot lie on her 95 concerts, the released new album called Beyoncé, her fragrances Heat, Pulse and Rise, clothing collection, which all contributions have been financially very successful. Estimated 115 million in earnings during one year is according to Forbes an extremely powerful thing. Of course Forbes is a magazine focusing on finance, business life and entrepreneur insight. Also its specialty are lists of the successful people in different fields of expertise. Information for the world’s business leaders, for the world who to follow. Beyoncé defines herself as a business woman and through that image has a role of a strong independent woman who has had plenty of support to become one since childhood. Which is part of her feminist agenda, be in control and create.

Gender, sexual orientation nor racial issues do not show to be such a large stepping-stones within entertainment anymore. At least what comes to making entertainment for the masses. It has become an advantage to be able to address a group that once was seen as weak. There has been empowerment, they who need to be empowered. Idols do empower and encourage, so maybe they are worth all the money they make. That could be one point Forbes is making by its list. This is how one succeeds now. How does glamour luxury and beauty businesses benefit from all the bling accessory advertising music videos represent. It is a life style presenting with moves.

Interesting is how the pictures taken reflect the person who takes them and to what extent are they images purely of that person, about her.

It is a bothering thing. I object the thought of constant self-portraying what comes to images produced as an artist. Pictures and texts are products with framing, analytical or not, telling something of the world around. My pictures and texts can of course be seen in certain frame of personal view to my life, disturbingly strongly. Photography is a case if timing and instant observation for me. It is not planned activity, in my case. So how much can my images be portraits of the taker is a question I wonder. It is also a very often faced a sort of accusation what comes to making art and presenting it that it is therapy and reflections of a troubled mind. So there is always some kind of mental state and problem going on, in a process.

I do reflect myself, how else, and very sensitive issues, but not my pathology or illness of any kind. Troubled world is what I see and that is where I live. I want to solve it and it is a puzzle indeed. Do not make simple judgments not with my pictures, with me or with anything. Simplicity hardly ever gives the right answer as we are so very complex.

If you are bothered by something do not hesitate to ask. I will gladly answer your questions.
