To comprehend amount and body of freedom, the concept for modern.

I guess freedom is easiest to understand on personal level and ask oneself how free one feels one is? We may be freer than we think. We are often imprisoned by our cultural ties and mostly bound to ground and place. Body can feel like a prison, the idea of body which is not yours when it is ruled by someone else’s mind and laws, when it is not what it should be. Life can feel it is not yours. You may not be what society expects you to be. What then? Shall we become what we are expected to be and to what extend? Fact is we will never have enough, we will never be satisfied, we will always be lacking. How to live with that, and how to know what is enough of freedom? Then there are limits to thinking what is possible, what can be done, what should be done, what someone can do, what is failure and what is success. To understand how massive the sea of possibilities truly is may be impossible because we are limited.

What is the amount of free space to think and do with in one’s life? Who and what dictates one’s life and up to what point? How much one has to say in what happens in one’s life, what one can do, where one can go, with whom etc.? What is free art for example? Is it free of form, free of authorities and opinions, free of censoring and silencing, free of institutional boundaries and corruption, free of set limits what is art and what is not, free of judging who is and can be an artist?

Experts on gender and what is sex of anyone.

Body parts, feelings, sensations, sexuality and expectations how these issues and things can be seen and will be tolerated. Dress and behavioral codes into which to grow and be comfortable with, but to grow up to be a woman or a man is a struggle whether you are transgender man or female or not. It is a struggle with beauty standards, measures of manhood and womanhood. Very much those measurements stand on shallow ground and stay the same to the core, are extremely difficult to alter. So who is to say who anyone should be? All of society that relies on traditions, gender roles and how we perceive opposite sex and sex of ours, how we are supposed to express ourselves and can not. What to censor of ourselves because it is too much for others to take. It is totally not a free zone or neutral issue as we know and never will be. To feel compassion for transgender people does not mean all criticism must be wiped out and what a human truly is, who is to decide for anybody in the end is the person in question. To identify with gender and what is needed to belong since we are to belong or to be tossed aside quite brutally when we are too much to take or not enough. Fight is when we do not fit in our bodies, our society rejects us, our family rejects as well the oddity. Those who do not want to live by the policing codes and models given to us shall have a fight.

Am I trying to be objective about transgender people’s cry over their right to choose their sex and gender? Maybe. Though I happen to be of opinion partly it is not one’s decision which sex we are but one can live by the idea of the sex one feels belonging to, and people must be free to do so. To be completely of some gender and stick to that ideal of gender is a social construction and is consciously build. We either believe it or we do not. What does free will have to do with deciding since we are not free and decision is not partly ours? Is it a question of owning one’s body and right to choose nevertheless? Ideal man and woman is an echo of past generations and unwillingness of letting go of those ideals is clear. We should be able to follow a perfect image of a woman or a man, to follow and believe norms for expressing and living gender. To be completely of some sex means to be with DNA, organs and bone structure of either sex thinking there are two naturally. What about desires and needs of women and men how do they differ and what kind of desires and needs do transgender people have in this picture? What is the bodily person in comparison to emotional and chemical person and sex? Does body win and dictate who we are and how we must manifest ourselves? Do transgender people follow traditional gender roles, imitate masculine men and feminine women? You feel you are a woman in a man’s body, nature doing tricks with us. How to live with this equation when the rest of the world does not understand or want a freak? How are transgender people to cope with this task and obvious dilemma which is mostly dilemma for those who have bias and strict views on how women and men are? Society wants us to follow nature although we do not respect nor follow nature in our ways, we disrespect nature still we justify our morals and perspectives into human sex via nature and nature being the ultimate guide to how we should see each other and our part in society.

Sex the body, sex the mind. Gender the fucking complex: how to address and dress who we are inside? Who gets to decide? Gender and sex are a big part of our identity, identity which is partly not up to you to decide, our body and emotions do a lot of deciding which is not rational. When gender is a curse or a blessing? It is difficult to be a standard representative of male or female as there are ideals which we like to imitate, there are models for us what a gender looks like and what do they do in their lives, genders, sexes, boys and girls. Which points of views do we take and what kind of aspects affect how we see female and male, how we feel in our bodies? It is clear many don’t feel good, body is always the wrong kind. Sexuality dominates, hetero sex, male desire wanting female body justifiably. Yes we are not just biological, we are not only natural. To simplify issue of how men and women are is unjustified and simply wrong as it is the complex of all complexes. To simplify is the easy way wanting to ignore complexity and being unable to face something weird nature has made. Our instincts do not, hopefully, dictate over us, but is sexuality which is very much an urge of natural origin, the biology, physiology, body and mind deciding for us? Nature is what we are afraid of. How much does society decide for us concerning gender and to what sex we belong, a lot. Fluidity is not something we can just takeover no matter how trendy it is. It is a shame.

Why is female body obscene?

One could expect an obvious answer: we are used to thinking it is. We are used to thinking sex is obscene, shameful, unmentionable erected and wet, awkward and personal. We expect the obvious, a normal and we seem to know the answer for what is normal. As I ask what is obscene, in general it is nudity, sexual act, showing of genitalia, to show interest in sex and porn. I think it is not that clear at all, because I resent the normal point of view, obvious answers and see porn everywhere, pornographication and critique of this phenomenon, it makes me wonder why the fuzz and closing of eyes. It is too beautiful to be proud of one’s porno-body in front of people, it is too much to take because of the consequences, looks, talk, ideas, dirtiness, it is the most secretive of all and to be revealed only in private, something of your own and still not. Nudity is not public, is restricted as common rule from viewing. To stand in front of someone and be judged by one’s nakedness, one’s body and what it looks like. Naked body is meaningful and society has a need to make it meaningless? Or society is scared of looking at bodies and what they hold, what they do and make, what comes where, what is what, who likes what, who gets to judge and make value out of bodies that feel and need. Well body is not meaningless in a society where it is strictly prohibited from existing. It has plenty of meaning in such culture. Where there is freedom of body, body has different kind of existence and purpose for culture. People who are not afraid of sexuality, to look at images of sexual bodies see themselves differently than those who are scared of that content, of that truth revealed. The more one hides the more there is to reveal? How to reveal and why what one hides? What is the scare?

When we look at pornographic pictures it is for pleasure. It is mostly not anatomical examination. It is not to see how muscles behave in certain position, what kinds of positions do the actors take as they fuck and what kinds of angles do the cinematographers choose when they picture the scene. Clichés, clichés, stereotypes after a while they are too clear and make one yawn. Obscene fades after exposing oneself for the so-called filth. Numbness is the one disturbing one’s mind, how oblivious and indifferent one gets. It is human body and what we do with it which make our culture, act of body, what we are meant to do with it and can do, what it is for. What can I make of it other than explore it as I explore myself, since I am seen as sexual and that point of view is heavily planed on me. So I take it and make it my own.

Body, to be a being, someone with mind who knows what to do.

All the time changing, all the time under magnifying glass. Other people’s bodies, body of one’s own in comparison as we look at ourselves and those other bodies everywhere. What does it look like,  my body, what does it do, how is it among bodies. There is always a flaw, a peculiarity, difference and lack. The wholeness of a body is taken for granted as is wholeness of mind, meaning something that should be, an ideal we must have and be. The idea of wholeness of keeping it, the ideal, them, our bodies the body and mind together working fluently. A product of modern society is one kind of package of wholeness, keep it together tightly. An absurdity and megalomaniac dream is to set an ideal which idolizes surface. It is to bring hectic stress, a dream which is intensely plastic and to the core science fiction. To reach a perfection for which standards are set by entertainment industry is a peculiar way to live life. Standards for body, living, exercising, clothing, moving, saying, making, for communication, for homes, things to have, what to be like in order to create a perfected image of modern success. Success is the things. Success of things.
Why do we accept such ongoing grandiose and an obvious road of self-destruction is the puzzling question in the matter of building life, making it and making oneself. Why do we knowingly choose the path of fast forward marathon desiring to go further and further, discarding and consuming nonstop, finding pleasure in simultaneous short term impulses giving feeling of rush. Rush and hurry seem to be the ones we need to feel our existence is real. We need those elements to let others know it as well that there is a hype and speed stating our importance. It does not look like self-destruction. It looks like fun.
This body that does things as it was a machine made to create magnificent life. Human body is magnificent itself, but not all mighty.
