She is a she. She must be careful and strain herself. When she does things not permitted for girls she is putting something out of balance and finding stability of her own which is incomprehensible, unsafe and exciting. Norms for girl behavior are very strict, therefore they are fairly simple to break, if one has the nerve to do it and become infant terrible. Punishments will of course be severe, results somewhat expected and the girl will be shut out as she is improper, intolerable, smelly and dirty, always in trouble for testing limits set by adults. In the end all she tests is herself and where she can go with small gestures, small cracks in reality, cracks made by her.

She farts loudly in a restaurant (small farts smell the worst, but bigger farts make a disturbing element in a sophisticated environment). She starts singing in a bus when everyone else is silent, unexpected and clearly retarded. She pours milk on the table and strikes the glass out on the parquet leaving a dent on it. Naughty girl, what is wrong with you. Is that all? It does not take much to become a talking topic. She sees woman on balcony below her and pours water on her head.

Kunnia liitetään suuren taiteen ajatukseen, koska suuri taide kuvaa suuria asioita, elämää ja ihmisiä suuressa koossa mittavasti ja muhkeasti niin jotta tärykalvot tärisevät ja keho tytisee teatterin penkissä. Kuvataan ihmisiä jotka ovat tehneet kunniakkaita asioita. Kuvataan sotaa, herroja, ylimyksiä, johtajia, kunniakkaita asian miehiä ja naisia, ylevyyttä, mahtavuutta, ajatuksia jotka ovat muuttaneet maailmaa, muuttaneet jotakin suurta toisenlaiseksi suureksi, tunteita, menetystä, kuolemista, sankaritarinoita ja selviytymistä. Kun koko ja sukupuoli määrittelevät mikä on tärkeää jotakin olennaista jää pois ja se on taide jossa on muutakin kuin tarvetta pöyhistellä ja olla kaapin päällä. Kun haemme elämystä ja kunniakkuutta taiteen avulla on kyse samasta kuin maiden välisissä urheilukisoissa, voittamisesta. Kuka voittaa taiteessa ja mitä siinä voitetaan on näkyvyyttä ja asema. Taiteelliset ansiot voivat silti olla kovin ohuet. Kunniassa on kysymys koosta, uskottavuudesta, mitä voi piilottaa, jättää sanomatta, kuka häviää ja miten, kuinka olla kunniakas häviössä, mutta aina voittaa, aikuisuudesta joka tietää mitä kunnia on, kuinka kunnia saavutetaan, pidetään ja kuinka ollaan kunniakkaita loppuun asti ja sen jälkeen kun on kuollut. Miehellä on melkein itsestään selvästi kunnia, on kunnia olla mies. Naisen kunniaa täytyy suojella koska se on hauras ja helposti liattavissa ja nainen on vain osa miestä joten hänen kunniansa on muutenkin hiukan kyseenalainen. Kunniakasta on myös olla rikas, raha edustaa valtaa ja miehet ovat usein niitä joilla on enemmän rahaa kuin naisilla, puhun siis rahamiehistä jotka hyvin pitkälle johtavat maailmaa ja tiedämme myös millaisessa tilanteessa maailma on, miksi ja miten se on jamaansa syösty, mutta ilmeisesti tilannetta ei ole voitu välttää koska ihminen oppii vain erehdyksen kautta jos silloinkaan. Mitä pankkikriisiin tulee, meno taitaa jatkua samanlaisena sodista puhumattakaan.

Tähän aiheeseen pääsin kätevästi tiedosta että uusi Tuntemattoman sotilaan elokuvaversio ilmaantuu 2017 ulottuvillemme, ja kuinka ollakaan sillä on 7 miljoonan euron budjetti, suurin Suomessa koskaan. WOW! Ihan tulee jotakin mieleen mutta en viitsi kerrata miljoonatta kertaa mitä. Rahoitusmalli on olevinaan uusi jossa viisi miljoonaa on saatu yksityisiltä sijoittajilta ja loput toisaalta, säätiöiltä kuten Wihurin rahastosta. Yksityiset rahoittajat haluavat rahoilleen tuoton eli kuin päivä nousee Tuntematon sotilas on Suomessa varma nakki, varma tulon- ja huomionlähde siis, eepos joka jokaisen suomalaisen tulee nähdä ja myöskin usein televisiossa näyttää loputtomasti. Monta asiaa jotka pompsahtavat silmille kuin niin monessa muussa projektissa Suomen maassa yhä uudestaan. Yksityinen raha tulee miehiltä, suuret projektit ovat miesten, elokuvan tekijäkaarti on miehiä, sota on miesten jossa kuolevat myös lapset ja naiset, nuo sivulliset. Varma tuotto, varma kaato, varman päälle ja kättä päälle. Niin kaveripiirissä tätä ei ole sovittu ja suunniteltu vaan rahoittajat ovat kaveripiirin ulkopuolisia. Näin ainakin Helsingin Sanomien jutussa (19.8.2015) luvattiin. Mikään ei kuitenkaan yllätä kuin tuo varma yllätyksettömyys. Se on niin tasan satavarmaa että olen miettinyt mistä tämä maa saa energiansa jauhaa yhtä ja samaa ja pitää sitä maailman parhaimpana, mistä te löydätte tuon pöyhkeyden kuvitella että iänikuinen on hyvä ja sitä kannattaa kierrättää yhä uudestaan ja uudestaan? Suur-Suomi, suurin suomalainen sotilas, suurmies, suursota, suuri ohjaaja neropattimies.

Mitä taiteen tukemiseen tulee, tuoton varmistelemiseksi ei kannata tukea taidetta, tuottoa harvoin tulee miljoonittain paitsi tietysti varmoista nakeista, ehkä. Taidetta ei ensisijaisesti tehdä rahan takia. Jos raha on ensisijainen taiteentekemisen tarkoitus, voimme kysyä millaista laatua ja vastinetta saamme, miksi taidetta tarvitsemme ja teemme. Minulle on syntynyt kuva taiteen tukemisesta Suomessa, että tuetaan projekteja joista saada varmasti tuotos, tuote joka on markkinoitavissa ja myytävissä, koska kuinkas muuten se taidetta olisi eli luotetaan varmoihin tekijöihin eli nimiin jotka pääsevät esille. Alan ymmärtää miksi maan kulttuuri on jumissa ja taitaa olla sitä vielä melko kauan aikaa. Kun tuetaan taidetta tukijalla ei tule olla oma lehmä ojassa. Hollywoodin apinoiminen on ilmeisesti tullut jäädäkseen, koska täällä ollaan niin pieniä että on oltava mahtava, ettei näyttäisi niin pieneltä.

What does it mean to be working class? It has meant things taken for granted and any variation to those things is still intolerable.

What kinds of characteristics class has is a story of people belonging to a class and what is outside of a class. Point being there is inside and outside of class between which communication is little, formal and suspicious. They think they know each other, they think they know all. Meaning of class awareness has meant different things for working class than for the middle class, who have been more content in quality of their lives, this is my conclusion. Working class wishes to imitate the middle class trying to match the quality of life for which they are entitled especially what comes to schooling, healthcare, day care etc. Middle class are those who feel their material needs are met, their offspring has chances in life to make something of themselves to follow needs of their own, or their families, all people belonging to this class have more chance of being content in their lives and see a brighter future, healthy and prosperous. There definitely has been a phenomenon//way of making things happen, that can be called looking after each other within a class, a solidarity between members of the same class, an awareness of similarity, knowing people and standing on the same level which connects and which form of communication can be difficult to attain when one comes from another class, higher or lower.

Reality of classes, conflicts, barriers and contempt between them which historical massive load is upon us, on us and within us is something inescapable. My class, which I was born to, has been a working class continuation in several generations. I come from very strong idea of work being the most important factor in life, an honorable thing and measure of worthiness. Schooling has not been seen as important although to me personally it was the most important thing. I lived to learn and still do. Therefore it is odd in my family that someone studies as much as I have (it has been possible) and hopefully I still will. Not to mention that one is an artist which is not work at all unless one is famous and makes money and it was said to me artists come from different class than I do, but that probably is not working class related thought. It is class and gender related issue that my capabilities are questioned over and over again. There has been strictly work for men and strictly work for women, strictly work for those others who come from different background. It is as if I am escaping something I cannot escape even though I do not escape I create. I don’t continue in a circle which to me is a dead-end.

Reality of struggle, old-fashioned thinking of the working class is very much build in me as background, fear, suspicion, disbelief and guilt, root and as a political view to life. Politics has always been an issue and everybody has had an opinion, not sure if the case is so anymore. Indifference seems to be the case. Basic idea for working class is to find a job, get married and have children. It is the traditional way in which nothing much changes but the society around to which we must adapt. That is also the breaking point of working class: difficulty to adapt to new thinking, difficulty to absorb new ideas, people and thinking, difficulty to see bigger picture, difficulty to adapt that their children do not want the same anymore, that their children are not extensions to their parents and do not continue something that was but make history of their own. Maybe it is something all classes share and that is why they are classes, divided and separate. Thoughts of worthlessness or superiority are often passed on and they drag us down.

One part and problem of working class is and has been low self-esteem of which scare, doubt and refusal to accept new tell. Fear to be active part of change, create movements and become change via education, open-mindedness and being curious. There is curiosity within working class but there is also inability to look further and beyond oneself, inability to think oneself as something else. Panic over losing one’s job and not being able to think alternatives for oneself is one example of being fixed into position given and not believing in oneself, not being able to think oneself as capable for many things but stuck without possibilities. Working class has been put down this way and they put themselves down. They who have power have made people think they should be scared and continue history of fear. Work is basic building brick of working class. Those who are scared for losing their position and wealth want people who do not believe in their possibilities, do not rebel, do not try to find alternative choices for themselves and don’t jeopardize power of those who stand on higher ladder. Now maybe even more as work is scarce and hard to find threats play an important role. One detail is striking, how long it takes for working class to rebel, rebel for what cause should be a question and they should find an answer (rebel not for themselves only), understand that they are the key in changing anything in the end. It is probably easy to continue the same work, the same daily routines, watch the same TV-shows, see the same people and read the same news papers. How to survive the shock when people lose these familiar things in their lives? When it is not possible to drive to work, when there is no work to go to, when we have to change what we eat, what we do, think, what we wear and what we talk about, not because we cannot personally afford but because ecologically our life style is unsustainable and wrong? Working class macho life style usually looks down on anything that hints to hugging trees and saving the environment. Gays and artists are the worst and to them there is a distance kept which works as a safety zone. Reluctance to understand and take part could not be more clear. To say we don’t understand also means we don’t even want to try. Time of no TV, no malls as we are used to having and no private cars maybe?

Inheritance of filth.

Is it a situation of the more problems accumulate and getting piled up than sorted and dealt with? As it seems problems we are dealing with are with heavy baggage passed forward. Passed on as long as it has been possible and mess having gone over the top but out of sight, and we have gone way beyond the tipping point and load has erupted all over for those who can sort it out in the best possible way try their very best? Which way is the best possible would be that for example loans too heavy to bear should be pardoned not to destroy nations but to give them a chance to recover as soon as possible. But when will the lesson be learned if debts are not paid in full? Lessons in politics have to change more straightforward to those who make the mistakes to make corruption and reckless administration impossible. Those who do politics are the ones to know they are indebted when they betray people’s trust and bring their nation to bankruptcy. Is this what happens when people do not use their voices, do not vote, do not trust the government, do not pay taxes, do not give to the community but keep all possessions and money made themselves? It is an economy of complete negligence, indifference, short-sighted fortune-seeking with no end for those fortunate ones who have played their cards well and vanished with the money.

It is comical to speak about inheritance since it firstly brings to mind riches, exploitation and something good gained via bad, given that it all belongs to the children after parents pass away, pain does not vanish, innocence is an interesting idea. Does memory play tricks on us? Inheritances come in all kinds of forms. Europe has such gruesome and vile legacy of amnesia and denial to feel astonishing numb and partly it is understandable people wish to forget our near history completely and they do forget. When spoken there is ominous silence and thought of how dare you remind us. How dare I indeed for example speak of Holocaust, it not having gone anywhere, fascism that has gone into hiding, unbeaten, fascism that to me is very clearly alive in economy and becomes more and more obvious the more arrogant and demanding corporations get and the more brutal the recession and its makings appear. We do use things basically made by slaves far away and it is easy to ignore the fact in our beautiful hygiene, indifference, wealth and modern serenity. It is easy to pose with gadgets that bring value to their owners and corporations selling them in beautiful packages. Corporations that use workers as items to be disposed when not needed anymore. Oh we just made such a good deal with Microsoft and after a while they are sacking thousands. How bloody strange Nokia.

Looking for new Nokia because the old one went BONK. We are desperate, but we are not able to correct things we do wrong. I don’t know why.

Bridges? I didn’t see any bridges. Did you see bridges? They must have had beautiful arches those bridges just like ones in historical bridges. Must have been like rainbow kind of bridges, colorful and sudden big in the sky. How do you burn that kind of bridge? You cannot burn something that is not there.

Strangely enough NOKIA slogan was NOKIA connecting people. brrr brrr hello? In Finland that is more than ironic. I should say so yeah.

Kiihkottomuuden estetiikka

Kiihko on termi, jota on totuttu käyttämään vihastuneesta tunteesta, jossa käytetään sanoja ja kehoa painottamaan voimakasta tunnetta ja omaa kantaa. Kiihko on uhkaava ja kiihkoilija on uhka vaarantaen tasapainon ja mielen rauhan. Sellaiselta suljemme korvamme ja sellaisen kanssa emme halua olla missään tekemisissä, ellei asioissa todella ole jotakin pielessä, ja kiihkoilija onkin oikeassa, ha. Kiihkossa voidaan käyttää arveluttavaa toisen puolen vastaisuutta ja mustamaalaamista lyömäaseena tarkoituksella satuttaaksemme. Näin arvelen usein olevan puhuttaessa todellisesta kiihkosta, joka ei ole kovin harvinaista, väkivaltaisuutta, aggressiota, sytyttämistä runsaalla ja vahvalla puheella vahvoin sanoin ja visioin. Tiedon vääristely ja pahat puheet kuuluuvat todelliseen kiihkoiluun. Aggressio ja väkivalta eivät ole ainoastaan fyysisiä tapahtumia ja satuttaminen voi olla hyvinkin harmittoman oloista. Tämä kuulostaa sosiaaliselta medialta, juorupalstoilta ja politiikalta. Kiihko on puolelleen käännyttämistä jossa uskossaan vahvat ja tiedoissaan heikot kohtaavat, mutta se voi parhaimmassa tapauksessa saada aikaan palavaa keskustelua. Kuvaillakseni kiihkottomuuden olemuksen, joka islamin ja kristinuskon vastakkainasettelun aikoina painottuu erikoisesti eli on jatkunut melko kauan ja joka, kiihkottomuuden, sovittelevuuden ja tyyneyden ihanne, mielestäni Suomessa saa jännittävät mittasuhteet, on tehtävänä hankala ja kiihkoinen. Suomalainen auktoriteetteihin luottaminen ja toisaalta uskonpuute vaikuttamismahdollisuuksiin ovat mielestäni luoneet kuplan, joka hiljentää vastaanväittäjät ja venkoilijat. Kun ihmisistä ja tiedottamisesta on kyse, jotakin vääristyy aina, joten on oltava tarkka kuinka asioita lähestyy ja kuinka ne toteuttaa. Kenties olemme tulleet liian varovaisiksi ja pelkäämme toteuttaa ideoita, jotka voisivat älähdyttää ja poiketa totutusta kaavasta, jossa poikkeamia ei sallita. Vääristynyttä kuvaa emme voi välttää tarkoituksella kiillotetussa maailmassa, joka pyrkii kohti täydellistymistä ja harmoniaa ja jossa kiihko ja epäjärjestys ovat silti enemmänkin valtavirtaa ja määräävä asenne, jossa median on oltava näennäisesti  kiihkoton ja puolueettomuus eli asioiden tarkastelu monilta eri puolilta ilman omaa kantaa, voi olla liikaa pyydetty. Eli on toisinaan vaikea sanoa, mikä todella on vääränlaista kiihkoa, sellaista jota on vastustettava ja paheksuttava kun pääasiassa vaikuttaa, että kapitalistisen maailmankuvan vastustaminen esimerkiksi boikotoimalla on kiihkoa, kun kapitalisti itse ei ole kiihkoinen laisinkaan vaan harmiton ja hyvä liikkeenharjoittaja.

Kun tarkastelemme asenneilmastoamme laajemmin, tai ehkä oikeastaan olemattomuuden olemusta kun on oltava kuin ei olisikaan, koska kiihkoa ei saa olla jos haluaa tulla vakavasti otetuksi. Asiat ovat niin ja onhan toki niinkin sovittelevasti ettei synny äläkkää. Luterilaisessa älkäähän nyt kyllä se siitä ilmastossa on hyvä häslätä miljoonien ja miljadrien kanssa kun ei siitä kovin suurta meteliä kukaan jolla on asema nosta vaarantamatta omaa positiotaan. Älisijät ja vastustajat ovat niitä hankalia joilla on väärä asenne kun halutaan todella tahkota rahaa. Asennettamme kansalaistottelemattomuuteen, toisinajatteluun, erilaisuuteen ja yleensä mihinkään poikkeavaan on syytä kritisoida ja painottaa vaikutusmahdollisuuksiemme kapenemisen mahdollisuutta joka on todellinen uhka. Olemme omaksuneet niin totaalisen kiihkottomuuden metodin että kaikki poikkipuolinen ja hiukankaan kovaääninen on kiihkoilua. Perussuomalaisten provokaatioihin suhtautuminen on hyvä esimerkki ja etenkin kun osa heidän ajatuksistaan on osoittautunut paikkansa pitäviksi kuten huoli ghettoutumisesta, mielipiteet pakolaisvirrasta ja pakolaisten vastaanottamisesta eli pakolaisia ja hädänalaisia autetaan parhaiten siellä missä hätä on ei massavaelluksella maihin joissa rasismi, työttömyys ja sopeutuminen ovat oikea ongelma.

Kiihkottomuus on tullut tarkoittamaan Suomessa asennetta jossa kaikki on hyvin. Jossa voidaan toki sanavapauden nimissä sanoa oma mielipide mutta pääasiassa sillä ei ole hevonvitun väliä, koska kuka vittu sä oikeasti edes olet. Kiihkottomuus on pidättyväisyyttä, kykyä olla hiljaa ja mieluiten aina, pukeutua sopivalla tavalla ja nauraa oikeissa kohdissa. Kaikenlainen muu käytös on omituista ja sitä on kartettava ettei leimautuisi. Kiihkoton yhteiskunta jakaa leimoja kiihkottomuudessaan, siinäpä vasta kunnon kiihkoa. Jännittävä ristiriita on juuri tässä pidättyväisyyden ja ryhmäkurin pakossa. Kun ihminen kiihkoaa eli näyttää tunteiden koko skaalan ollessaan kimpaantunut asioiden laidasta, kimpaantuneisuus jota ei saa etenkään julkisesti näyttää, koska se on mielenvikaista, sivistymätöntä ja johtaa ongelmatilanteisiin kertoen että ihmisellä itsellään on ongelma koska hän noin reagoi. Kiihkoilija on ongelma kiihkottomuutta ihannoivalle yhteiskunnalle joka haluaa olla rauhallinen ja pysyä rauhallisena, haluamatta minkäänlaisia sekaannuksia vaikka miljardiluokan ongelmia rakennetaan tuosta noin vain koska halpa sähkö.

Kiihko yhdistetään terrorismiin, radikalismiin, epäselvyyteen, epäilyttävyyteen, epäammattimaisuuteen, epäherrasmiesmäisyyteen ja epänaismaisuuteen, vaikka naismainen on negatiivinen termi on epänaismainen vielä negatiivisempi. Kuka nainen haluaa olla epänaismainen?

Dictators and liberators, impossible equation

Problem with political revolutions is that there tends to be parties who want to take credit for making the revolution, starting it, starring in it as it was a movie. As revolution was and is a grande stage to become a hero of the nation, also a necessity. It is an opportunity for a real opportunist. One needs to be able to take sides and stand for a cause. Weak nation has citizens who do not know what to do and how to make things better. There aren’t any options left to make a change happen. People can wait for the best person to come and salvage them, the people who have nothing left. When there is not anything to save but one’s life people flee as is happening right now, people flee to the nearest peaceful place which is Europe.
Best option for a dictator is to pose as a savior who will bring prosperity and freedom. We look for heroes and we like to hear good things promised. We too wish to become admired as having committed heroic acts in the name of the people. Personality cults get way over the top very easily. This is the pattern that has repeated in numerous occasions. It is old-fashioned and worn out strategy to place huge posters of a ruler all over the country, all over media, usually a male ruler who needs to be adored as a father figure. There is something about that ritual of having larger than life images of politicians in public places as guardians with promises on their faces, like member of a family. It is in the way those politicians want to display themselves as comforting and trustworthy elders who are wise and knowledgeable, chosen ones, so there is no need to replace them.
Young people usually first take the stand in rioting and demonstrations as was the case in Egypt’s uprising and they will be given the place of role players who stand on the side, not as decision-makers in a political game that knows only ruthlessness and violence, not equality, fairness or democracy. Kill or you will be killed is the language of a coup, a survival game. When we need liberators, we think there is someone who has the power to set us free.
Who will liberate the World from arm dealers and from their endless need to supply countries with arms, supply organizations with arms. How do ordinary people fight against modern weapon industry which is not as regulated as it should be? There is something really horribly wrong in this equation, in this repetitious scheme with trillions of dollars involved. It seems to be a matter of getting rich or die trying. Distribution of wealth, of money which banks make more and more, does not happen even there is more money in the world. How to fight for what is right when it seems the fight is a tiny buzzing in dictator’s ear? Could that ear be the soft spot, weakness of a mind that does not want to hear criticism, disagreement, demands for equality and freedom of speech? The more there are those who dare to buzz tirelessly the more alarm and anxiety there will be. Status Quo needs to be shaken because it is a false balance. It is balance of military force in which we now measure how balanced we are and where we stand.

Revolution: when does it become a joke?

It is euphoria, necessity, unity and despair combined. Revolution answers to the question that has been in the air, in people’s minds, waiting to be made happen. When will people be free of oppression, harassment, surveillance, ill rulers who wish to gather fortunes for themselves instead of taking care of their people. The question that needs answering is what will happen if people stop obeying, stop being afraid, start acting and doing as their gut tells them to do: refuse, reject, revolt and resist with all you have got till the change needed has happened. What will it take and need? Things must go terribly wrong and bad until such uprising happens. People had huge protests all over the world against wars in Afghanistan and Iraq without much effect. Politicians ignored public opinion completely. Such demonstrations are not obviously enough to do the needed change of mind and manners operations and decisions are put in action in politics and business.

Revolution the joke happens when as occurred in 2011-2012 Egypt uprising people started to gather at Tahrir Square until police and army asked them to leave. People left and after two months and after promises having failed and unkept people came back and again they were asked to leave. This happened over and over again until police and army took up violent measures to clear up the square. Muslim Brotherhood wanted to get involved with the revolution which began as a peaceful sit-in. Islamists saw a golden opportunity for gaining power and move on with their agenda in Egypt. What is the agenda of Islamists? It does not seem to be the democratic one as protesters mainly were after. Is Islamist way any different than the dictatorship’s way of ruling? Those who firstly started the movement in 2011 still want social and political reform in a country that has been ruled undemocratically for thirty years by Hosni Mubarak. When people are ruled with violence, by constant threat, which stops people from being politically active and speaking their minds freely, it is a state of paralysis where anger piles up decades after decades. This is clear. Still it happens because big part of the world think people have to be ruled with violence. That fear of losing one’s life, which can be constant, is made a true fear, a true image of having power is to make people be scared. At the moment as I see it people are scared and they hang on to any method of survival they can find. Are we going to have a peaceful revolution when it happens again as a happening in a square as one hand? Definitely not. It probably is blasphemy to call this revolution a joke. Story of Egypt tells options for action are short when dissidents just vanish in thousands, protesters get killed and army can arm itself up to the teeth with help of the USA. But I am not laughing.
