Consuming is a plan and a way to live, it is also a way to die. What is bad about having so much fun and getting what is rightfully yours? What is rightfully mine or anybodies? Is that what is bad about equality and democracy, sharing?

Business as usual? Is capitalism as we know it destroying us? Economy is vital base of how and why nations function. It has a role of making and giving value, keep us going. Where are we going and where do we need to go? Who sets our path? Is it the entity Capitalism? How economy and markets work and what they produce very much tell in what kind of world we live. Should markets be less open or more free is a nonstop argument. Most people seek to become rich wanting to possess more than is necessary and maintain a luxurious standard of living and consume more than is sufficient and sustainable.

Anti-Capitalists ground their claims on facts that economy practiced now leaves most of the people in the world standing outside the fancy restaurant. To blame the system Capitalism is complicated swamp of questions and accusations for which there aren’t much easy answers. It is common demand of anti-capitalists to abolish our current economic system altogether.  Anti-Capitalists claim capitalism exploits workers and consumers for few to make huge profits. Anti-Capitalism can be called anti-profitism. Money being root of all evil and laws to regulate economy serve the wealthy.

But how can economy and money be accused of governments functioning poorly and would any other economic system work any better? I doubt it strongly, but I also doubt system we are having. There has not been any better solution so far of making trade as we do now. It is worth while question businessmen and their ethics. Do consumers have ethics? Do they know what it is to consume ethically?

Capitalism can be good and it has been. Probably welfare here would not be without Capitalist ways of making wealth. Workers gaining their rights within this Capitalist production system has made them prosperous. Capitalism can serve good of all mankind if it is used in democratic and honest way. There is always the B side to making money how honest can it be and how money-making is regulated plays important part. How does morals work in this picture and how does a person’s moral develop in this system? How much is it due to in what kind of culture one grows up to and to what kind of needs we are culturally grown to live by?

That would mean a drastic altering of way of life for which few would be ready. Are you ready for environmental time bomb, because it is ahead of us pretty close by. To say hey I’m doing this because I can is the most bullshit excuse to justify anything that is damaging planet and people in this magnitude!

Mass destruction (warring and whoring. What is it all about?). Ways of facing problems, problems of making politics seem vast, benefiting from politics by making war, dynamics of everyday life, diplomacy, hierarchy and protocol, means of how to build an equal society are always beyond sufficient and quick to be done.

At war there is a constant threat of killing, seeing, smelling, hearing death and getting killed. Meaning of war is to kill or get killed. To win at war is an illusion. War is performative audio-visual act of violence in which there are only victims and losers. Possible winner is the arms dealer for whom business winnings are beyond comprehension, a jackpot. Killer is a victim as is the killed.

Situation where is no alternative is victimizing, when there is an obligation to go to war. Before the act of killing killing has already happened. Who feel obligated and is obligation born out of nationalism and having honor. Victim of war propaganda, victim of brainwash, of being on a side of something against something, circumstances of politics, accidents, destiny, faith and circumstances. Victim of political game and schemes, where very often the biggest criminals deciding for wars go free and prosperously retire. At war people are forced to make murder, which is not considered normal behavior for a person with morals, dignity and appreciation for human life. Defending values and ways of life by killing is a way to make the world. In this light for whom is this world made?

Number of ongoing wars and wars fought is mind-blowing. The amount of money spent to kill seems to be secondary issue. For warring money is found, billions of it. Effects of battles to those who have battled and to those who live within and in battle fields are no doubt crucial and long-lasting. It probably can be said no one leaves a war zone unhurt. Those effects last decades and do not remain within one generation. In the US scars of World War 2 and Vietnam War are still in the process of healing. Many veterans of war have ended homeless being unable to work and support themselves. Side effects like alcoholism, depression, suicides, post-traumatic stress disorder do not heal by themselves in time. Symptoms affect not only the individual but the whole community. War does not end to declaration of peace. It continues in the minds of people, in movies, stories, cities, landscapes and in history books. Desperate acts and useless in every way, not to mention far from peaceful life on Earth.
How much the politics of the US is actually made by corporations and owners of these corporations running I can only guess. It appears to me the most of the world is owned by corporations and politicians merely have position to execute wishes of the money men. Warring requires equipment, preparing, planning, strategy, focus, patriotism, loyalty and it makes good profit for those who manufacture arms, astronomical. The US still has an agreement with Egypt for example according to which US grants Egypt financial aid to buy American arms. The amount of money is substantial which goes straight to arms manufactures in the US. Money flow does not leave the country.

”Despite the highly secretive military budget, which the law protects from scrutiny, there are a few cases in which the public can glimpse the vast economic power contained by the Egyptian military. One such case is the economic-military agreement between the United States and Egypt. Between 1948 and 2011, the United States has provided Egypt with 71.6 billion received approximately 1.3 dollars annually in military aid from the United States. The Obama Administration requested another 1.3 billion dollars for the 2012 fiscal year.” http://www.jadaliyya.com/pages/index/14063/the-moral-ambiguity-of-united-states-aid-to-egypt

It is interesting what Marxism has become to mean and how delusional culture of calling and naming in the name of power is. Putting down, dragging into dirt. Which is dirt and which is something higher is due to I’m not sure what. Or maybe it has got to do with creating public opinion, to create public to have fear. Directing and manipulating of opinion of the most, who are not interested, there is some knowledge that leads the crowds. Knowledge of political map rises from press: what is written and how critical and neutral media can, is able and will be. So far skepticism towards media is more than understandable and not without ground. Suspicion over what is being told is more than a recommendation. There are motives to write other than giving unbiased information. Motives other than giving education other than freedom of speech and being neutral informant. As far as I am concerned there is no freedom of speech as long press is owned by huge media corporations. As long they obey laws of finance and what is worthy of writing about is measured in money. What and who is being silenced? Marxism shows in strange light in this fight. In the light of neo-liberal profit-making. What kind of knowledge public has on political ideologies?

As amazing as it sounds and as much loath Communism and anything related to Marxism has had, because of Marx’s ideas, Socialism works its way, finds new followers and making strong opposition within and outside capitalist institutions. Historical almost relic picture, but living concepts and ideologies kept alive systematically because there is need to survive, there is need for rebellion still. Needless to ask why. Do ideologies such as Marxism and Communism have something to contribute and to give to our contemporary time other than division between workers and rulers of finance world? Something which is lacking is empathy and compassion, still. What could be there that is universal and timeless? There is a strong tendency in most rebellions and revolutions to have been connected to labour movements, Communism, Marxism, Socialism and have had to do with making conditions of living better for working people. To remove oppression and slavery has been agenda number one.

Distant Marxism, distant revolution, far away portrait of a thinker who triggered such thorough mental, social, cultural and physical change  that it seems almost impossible to think world of ideas without Karl Marx.

There are some radical contradictions in the picture of salvation. First what is salvasion, how we pursue it, how we select which ones are worthy of rescuing and how we place grounds for saving. In order to be saved something has to be gone wrong. Our inhabiting the world being one major threat and violent act against the world, against ourselves. Our blue planet, our nature, nature of having and owning. What is what is rightfully ours are our lives.

Us against us, we against animals. It is a place of excellence to put oneself against, on place of righteousness, of knowing and having force over. People who have placed themselves on pedestals to have leadership. It is one way of evolving and building cultures, to follow something, someone who knows where to go. How long does master race last on that mastering spot? There is the world of nature of which we are part organically, biologically, on cell level and also mentally we still have animal instincts in us working

Hierarchy by machinery, interconnected electronic components – How violence manifests itself (in our everyday lives just like that)

Violence, to cause violence knowingly, not knowingly, inflict pain deliberately is to be bad, wanting to be bad, to feel bad and ill aggression and adrenaline in your veins and bones must be a powerful feeling, hate, loath, contempt, power in them, it is suffering itself, not knowingly and knowingly is either stupidity, incapability to understand the effects of one’s actions, to put oneself in position of the other, to give a damn, how could that happen. Violent behavior is a learned way to solve life, to solve other people, to solve problems, to see life in violent way is to see only problems.

Violence is a pattern of blindness towards good, blind aggression, blind desire for power.

In this violent simplistic solving one creates more violence. If we are not able to forgive and forget, what do we get. Which acts are violent in the very meaning of hurt? A look, talk, judgment. We can begin to understand violence when we look at ourselves and that we are hurt. Stepping on an ant is killing that ant. There are so many of them how could killing it be avoided? Some sweep their way gently in order to avoid killing bugs since they may be ancestors who have got ants body. Spirit is more important than body, spirit that moves, circulates in the universe, in cosmos over and over again changing form seeking enlightenment. What is violence in this picture of spirits? Punishments of god, what has happened to you in your past lives, what did you do during those past lives. Were you good or bad towards other beings? Of course if you believe.

Pain as a motivator, could it be said it motivates, pushes forward? To avoid hurt we like to pass it on to make sure that other one hurts more.

Introduction to anguish, suffering, agony, distress, torment, pain, ache, woe – how much can there be, how pain can be measured? Only by visible injuries and complaints?

We like to avoid feeling pain. To use alcohol to numb oneself,  to have feeling of joy for a little while. Those who have been hurt in life, the most of us can begin to believe hurt is the only reality there is. To hurt is what people do, why is this happening to me, why do I hurt so much. Ill behavior tends to multiply. The more one gets hurt the more one seeks to hurt and get hurt. To what extent do we avoid hurt, how selfish are we in protecting our own skin? Could we avoid hurting others following the rule – treat your fellow-man the same way you want to be treated? Somehow it does not look that way. In this avoiding of hurt we act by, react, write, speak, behave, make and live. What kind of motivator pain is and how do we deal with pain, it seems to be a major issue and it is a crisis to have pain. We want to be painless, to live in oblivion kind of state where we do not remember pain until it hits. We may be careless and defiant in front of pain. To have pain because of being abandoned, forgotten, unloved, left behind is very normal. But when it happens as a child one becomes accustomed to it, like not expecting anything else, becomes insensitive. To avoid ultimately being hurt one prepares in mind for such incidents, anticipation of what will be. To expect to be hurt lessens the hurt experienced. It is difficult to explain any kind of pain experienced to someone else who has not experienced the same. Person who has not felt the same can only imagine. Stinging, pounding, throbbing, cutting, pointing, overwhelming, blinding, hurt hurting a body of mental or physical, depressing. To feel horribly agonizing hurt can make one cry and shout. We cry when hurt to let it out. Pain has to be let out for it to be released and eased. Long term pain is a sign of something is not well in your body. This is so self-evident and everyday practice.

Sadness is a sudden or a constant low, it can go on and on for how long? One can learn to tolerate and mould it to live with it, if there is no other alternative. Suicide is a complete end to intolerable pain and suffering, but it is passing pain on to others who stay alive, an escape of unsolvable problems. It is the difficulty in life, unavoidable to suffer, the most unaccepted feature of our existence, we don’t want to hurt. Who would want to accept pain, there must be a cure. Where pain is, what causes it, what can be done to it. Disabling and paralyzing ache gives reason to doubt there is an illness. Not to whine and sob about hurt is heroic. It can be honourable not to shout in agony when in labour. Honour in staying silent about one’s bad feelings and ache, heartache, headache and reasons why. Suffer silently not to let others have concern over you, stay humble and obedient. It is impolite to complain. What does it do when all of society follows this kind of golden rules of silence? To suffer alone, stay strong, it builds character and is respectable. Respectability, honour, integrity of a soldier.

Pain makes one’s body go down, take one’s head in one’s hands, close one’s eyes, fall down, stay in bed, go to see a doctor, take a pill, put a hot water bottle on aching tummy. I have wondered do genders react to pain differently, tolerate it in different ways? The more painful one’s life is the more one can take it, cope with it, understand it. Pain has to be understood. Levels of hurt, ways to hurt, how do I hurt and do I, how my face twitches, bends, my body moves in twists in pain.

We are very sensitive creatures, we can feel pain of someone else. That takes an empathetic person, kindness to place oneself to someone else’s position, feel what that other is feeling, going through. How must he feel? I am sorry for you. Caring is considered a feminine feature. It is a kind of weakness. To take sorrows of others to carry and comfort. Have we lost some of that or is it a task of nuns and nurses, psychologies and doctors? To professionalize caring makes it distant, machinized. We have to pay to get it. Which puts us in unequal position individually. There are people who are more valuable to be taken care of. To afford caring. What an insane thought, but it is realistic because it happens. We cannot afford caring. It is away from us, to be given a piece of affection is a lot to ask. It is no surprise prostitution is a profitable business. Sex is thought as a moment of affection even with a stranger and even having paid for it. Or is it just a release of pain and pressure in the balls.
