That women don’t have what it takes? It?

For women to be taken seriously there must be a formula. I just don’t quite grasp what it might be when in a world where male qualities are seen more reliable than female starting from appearance and having the privilege of being born male. The volume of being reliable enough women have to do serious fighting to accomplish the same status as males, imitate male posture, way of presenting, speaking, tone of voice or just know your topic better than anyone, be many times more qualified and capable? Could it be so or does the lesbian card get thrown at us like it was the most unattractive thing there is when women try to blend in? Do we have to blend in and pretend we are good guys? I sure as hell am not a guy and don’t call me one. Is the situation that desperate that in technology women don’t convince as women?

I have noticed it can be difficult for men to listen women speakers. It is difficult for them to accept woman’s point of view and that woman could know more. That woman argues and debates, guides and accomplishes more is a heavy deal to accept. Technology is a very sexist area of exact science and work requiring expertise and skill, that woman does something well in technology be it welding, engineering, programming it is hard for men to believe or accept a woman doing anything well or better than men. Could give you couple of examples when men didn’t believe their eyes and kept saying it was not my doing saying she cannot be that good. It is even more ridiculous when someone who stood next to me and witnessed me welding something demanding perfectly and then the other bloke refuses to believe I did it. It is hard for me to believe something like that could happen in Finland but it did. What does it take to give a woman credit for her skills? It takes balls.

Alex learned to apologize.

Intellect is a perfect topic and field of research. We are haunted by idea of intellect and having it, at least looking like we have it. All there is in the brain has not been learned, not by scientist and not by non-scientists but we like to refer to intellect often and we seem to have knowledge of what is clever and what is not. There are so many smart objects within our reach making our lives something else than just ordinary normal life. Life becomes smarter via machines as they are the intellect and something more we need, somehow. There is always the thought of better, better than, owning it, the smarter than and it is a machine. Something new is smarter than what I had before, this new thing has new kinds of abilities.

The assumed intellect or lack of is often a reason to make judgments of someone, call names and give a sentence or approval. Similar kinds of thoughts fit together well. It is a strange world where intellect is pretty hastily judged, a characteristics that defines one completely. Something that is hugely more complex than our shallow world likes to admit. How and what we come to value as clever can be one root to the problem of what we see as intelligent, what kinds of results are seen as intelligent and useful. Usefulness of ideas, plenty of ideas, capability to manage and deal with demanding problems, create innovate practical unseen ways to live, make working solving solutions to dilemmas that burden the whole of society (if there was not vanity and greed): is intellect in the continuous making or making just as much as is needed and not more? I have a deep feeling intellect is lost.

Alex and Me: A Scientist and A Parrot Discover A World of Animal Intelligence

Trauma the word is something that should not be used as it is so personal. We cannot reveal our trauma and we have to act we don’t have any. Trauma the experience and burden is what we all have.

Yes it is a psychological term and to psychologize is probably what I should avoid doing since I am not a therapist, but there is an outcry for psychotherapy. Hurt caused is very telling. People who are not able and willing to accept variety of people, complex psychology and intellect of people, want to inflict hurt for their reasons which are primitive and old. We can get traumatized quite easily depending on what we are used to receiving from others. People who are not protected by anyone can grow fierce fighters depending what kind of point of view they have on not being protected and cared for. One can see it as a loss that has to be felt bitter about or something one cannot do anything about and move on. Attitude is an important tool but to accept one’s vulnerability and weakness play an important role as well in getting ahead and accepting one’s solitude. Position of inferior should not be accepted as such. We are alone in this because we have to find our own place on our own. Trauma is the very thing that can drag us down for years and we can dwell in it if we don’t get help in finding other kind of way to think. Violence continues when there are no other kinds of solutions taught and available. Severity of trauma experienced and survived can be unbelievable. We are also amazingly tough what comes to enduring. To show toughness can become a shield against the world. Our ways to protect ourselves are there for a good reason. We are under constant attack and threat. The ways of being sensitive, having a sensitive mind are many. To be sensitive towards what that other is going through takes wisdom that many don’t have. The question did you get a trauma and get traumatized has a severe diminishing attitude towards being sensitive and getting hurt. To say out loud things that hurt is a starting point in making a change in attitude atmosphere. People can be unaware of what hurts, which is itself the unbelievable factor. They have to be given the experience of hurt for them to feel what it feels like to be insulted, therefore self-defense is important! Learn to defend yourself.

Sorry I don’t believe in turning my other cheek. I hit back because otherwise nothing would have changed for me. Best retaliation is humiliation and win with wits. People are cowards which is the biggest disappointment and also an easy target. People who do not know themselves are easy targets. It is easy and cowardly to shout out your opinion hiding behind a false identity or from within safety of  a group of similar minded assholes.

We are not supposed to get hurt by words, by insults, by being stepped over, living under pressure of false ideas of gender, under body of bigotry and hate. Why there is such cult of strength that prevents us from showing vulnerability? Idea of boys don’t cry is heavily planted also in me. To be a girl was for some reason a weakness. I am not to talk about hurt caused, inflicted, not supposed to speak about unjust experiences because I must endure and fight, stand up for myself. Well I must, there is no one else to do it. That is the sad part. One can stand very alone in situation of attack and finding that inner strength to defend oneself over and over again is a miracle which notion itself keeps me going. I have got strength and power, a revelation.

Trauma caused and felt is there what everybody has to go through. Children cannot and should not be protected from it because we hurt and we must learn to deal with hurt. Hurt we experience and we cause. When hurt becomes so big it comes difficult to breath, mental health has been under severe pounding. Anxiety and difficulty to breath normally are symptoms that should not be taken lightly. Our minds are connected to our bodies and issues of mind cause physical pain and symptoms that can be serious and long lasting. Problems of mind are still undervalued even though it is our most important part, our brain. It does not heal fast nor easy. When you start messing with someone’s mind results are expensive, tragic and difficult to repair. It is very common to think mental problems are inferior and we should just bear our mental pain. As much as intellect is emphasized in our Western culture we are not using it. We are torturing brain and not using them fully. What comes to evaluating someone’s intellect it is the most common way to put down someone by giving judgments of intellect, women’s intellect, black intellect, children’s intellect. Many see intellect within a narrow frame judged by outer traits. My blond hair, gender, clothes, and looks do not define my intellect. How do my professions define my intellect?

To endure mental pain to certain extent is necessary for survival. This is my view and experience. Sorrow, loss, loneliness, heartbreak and all the negative emotion are there for a reason, not to escape but to learn from. They are there to tell us something, not that life sucks and why this is happening to me, it happens to all. It does not mean bullying and torture should be accepted, emotions tell us to act. How do you act enraged or when do you hate? Your negative emotions are not to make others feel bad too. Emotions can be channeled to do something, but what? Taking the easy way of dealing with complex issues you cannot deal with is where people obviously need guidance. Kindness and will to understand take work and effort many are not willing to take up and pass on. How to understand yourself, why you do what you do, what do you wish to accomplish with your actions? People are lazy and much rather pass on the negative experienced and felt projecting their world view on quite many people. I ask you to be responsible adults in a world filled with hate and bloodshed. It takes true strength to apologize and act differently. Listen and pay attention.

For those who violently protect something they think should not be altered.

Primitive reactions towards women and girls who want to be as active and innovative makers as men are open wide and tolerated as men see their space threatened, their territory getting invaded and changed. Why are there such territories that are exclusive to women? There are quite many areas of expertise that could be listed that discriminate and bully women for this reason: it is not traditionally seen as something women do, so they should not do it in the future. Reason and logic do not have anything to do with this decision-making. As tech industry likes to parade the thought of world-changing so fast, the picture is not as victorious science-fictionally fantastic. Changes come in many surprising ways and are on many levels as are things and ideas that hinder change. Surely you guys understand what I mean. What truly takes intellect is to comprehend what change really is and takes, what kind of change is needed and coming. To be able to change clothes into intelligent wear and make self-driving cars are not the most groundbreaking necessary change for mankind.

Those who are scared get aggressive towards women for ruining their fun, boys’ club, which is not for women as we are so different and are not boys. We do not think like the opposite sex and we have opinions we like to say aloud. Aggression and violence are for some reason still tools used by men to keep women out, who get too scared to try to say against. Most scared I am if I will not try to pursue things I see vital and interesting to do. Most harm done is by people who see only black and white, fundamentalists who do not see the colors and benefits variety bring. To be able to learn from someone different from yourself is a gift. Women have been held back and have not been able to use their talents nor intellect in every way possible because they would have outnumber men. Men are scared women will be superior. It surely is a threat if you persistently wish to fight against equality and want to keep the power which is not yours only. Same has happened within the arts and science. Women’s voices will be heard and acknowledged. It is time to stop the primitive patriarchal bigotry and start living the bright future.

Really really

What is the problem when gazing opposite sex is normal, as it is, fun for some and unavoidable? Things perceived as normal can be wrong despite the normalcy. Sense of norms that bind us together and down that are there for reasons which maybe don’t apply anymore, reasons that keep us struggling against norm society, bias and unjust behavior. What is normal does not mean it is right and should not be changed. If one cannot help oneself, what is there to hope for. The extent, manner of approach which can be monotonously aggressive and unpleasant. Problematic is the position other person is viewed, from which point of view one is looked at and as what that other person is seen. What that view is meant to be and signal. Is it a signal to other men, not to women that much, that the man gazing is sexually active, straight and ready to have sex, has eye for female beauty? The gaze is to state a true man, manhood and virility. Gazes gazed.
