Mass destruction (warring and whoring. What is it all about?). Ways of facing problems, problems of making politics seem vast, benefiting from politics by making war, dynamics of everyday life, diplomacy, hierarchy and protocol, means of how to build an equal society are always beyond sufficient and quick to be done.

At war there is a constant threat of killing, seeing, smelling, hearing death and getting killed. Meaning of war is to kill or get killed. To win at war is an illusion. War is performative audio-visual act of violence in which there are only victims and losers. Possible winner is the arms dealer for whom business winnings are beyond comprehension, a jackpot. Killer is a victim as is the killed.

Situation where is no alternative is victimizing, when there is an obligation to go to war. Before the act of killing killing has already happened. Who feel obligated and is obligation born out of nationalism and having honor. Victim of war propaganda, victim of brainwash, of being on a side of something against something, circumstances of politics, accidents, destiny, faith and circumstances. Victim of political game and schemes, where very often the biggest criminals deciding for wars go free and prosperously retire. At war people are forced to make murder, which is not considered normal behavior for a person with morals, dignity and appreciation for human life. Defending values and ways of life by killing is a way to make the world. In this light for whom is this world made?

Number of ongoing wars and wars fought is mind-blowing. The amount of money spent to kill seems to be secondary issue. For warring money is found, billions of it. Effects of battles to those who have battled and to those who live within and in battle fields are no doubt crucial and long-lasting. It probably can be said no one leaves a war zone unhurt. Those effects last decades and do not remain within one generation. In the US scars of World War 2 and Vietnam War are still in the process of healing. Many veterans of war have ended homeless being unable to work and support themselves. Side effects like alcoholism, depression, suicides, post-traumatic stress disorder do not heal by themselves in time. Symptoms affect not only the individual but the whole community. War does not end to declaration of peace. It continues in the minds of people, in movies, stories, cities, landscapes and in history books. Desperate acts and useless in every way, not to mention far from peaceful life on Earth.
How much the politics of the US is actually made by corporations and owners of these corporations running I can only guess. It appears to me the most of the world is owned by corporations and politicians merely have position to execute wishes of the money men. Warring requires equipment, preparing, planning, strategy, focus, patriotism, loyalty and it makes good profit for those who manufacture arms, astronomical. The US still has an agreement with Egypt for example according to which US grants Egypt financial aid to buy American arms. The amount of money is substantial which goes straight to arms manufactures in the US. Money flow does not leave the country.

”Despite the highly secretive military budget, which the law protects from scrutiny, there are a few cases in which the public can glimpse the vast economic power contained by the Egyptian military. One such case is the economic-military agreement between the United States and Egypt. Between 1948 and 2011, the United States has provided Egypt with 71.6 billion received approximately 1.3 dollars annually in military aid from the United States. The Obama Administration requested another 1.3 billion dollars for the 2012 fiscal year.” http://www.jadaliyya.com/pages/index/14063/the-moral-ambiguity-of-united-states-aid-to-egypt

There is a dude and then there is a thin tablet in a picture with grayish background smiling. What do I make of this? Do I want this thing desperately?

Morals seem to be strict where there is no moral.

We are warriors.

Soldiers, fighters, people of battle, of daily combat – who is the victim here if not the one who fights constantly? How do we victimize ourselves and do we since it is a cultural norm not to place oneself on stage and show one’s hurt. It is to be hidden and to be burden of yours only. To victimize ourselves we put us in the position of needing help. Maybe we are victimized cattle at war of existence of hiding, burn marked, owned by our pain. We are supposed to be victims, knowingly, but not showing. Sacrificed and slaughtered at the altar of war daily, the daily battle of existence in pictures and anywhere. We must in order to feel empathy towards anyone first allow ourselves be empathetic to ourselves. It requires a victim to be found to feel empathy. Allow ourselves to be vulnerable and weak. It does not mean a constant self-search going in circles, ending wounded and nowhere, nor weeping about misfortunes of life, because misfortunes are there and that is it. What else would it mean? No one avoids those pitiful moments of self-loath, -hate and feeling sorry for yourself. To be merciful towards yourself would be the key of finding that happiness everyone longs for.

In welfare nation state has a role of a saver of those who are unable to save themselves. It also is problematic in the sense that role of a helper is tossed to the state so much so that people begin to have role of it does not concern me.

Absolute poverty is a problem which seems to stay in certain areas of the world. This is basic knowledge to most people in the world, knowledge of where poverty exists and why. Major question is why it keeps on existing to the extent it does? Why people stay poor, hungry and desperate. Lack of education, gender inequality, corruption, lack of democratic politic making..all in all lack of future prospects and sustainable welfare. A girl born in brothel in India or in Bangladesh will most likely become a prostitute. In documentary Whores’ glory (2011) directed by Michael Glawogger a brothel owner (woman) states this as a clear future prospect, also to a child of hers and there is nothing to it, there aren’t any other choices. Prostitution is likely to be a future profession of many boys and girls born in poverty without chances getting out of being poor. Without care, education, functioning inexpensive healthcare and support from the government situation remains. Charity is not enough and it is not lasting or constructive method to remove poverty.

Name revolution, name revolutionist, name your enemy, name what you fight for

It is interesting what Marxism has become to mean and how delusional culture of calling and naming in the name of power is. Putting down, dragging into dirt. Which is dirt and which is something higher is due to I’m not sure what. Or maybe it has got to do with creating public opinion, to create public to have fear. Directing and manipulating of opinion of the most, who are not interested, there is some knowledge that leads the crowds. Knowledge of political map rises from press: what is written and how critical and neutral media can, is able and will be. So far skepticism towards media is more than understandable and not without ground. Suspicion over what is being told is more than a recommendation. There are motives to write other than giving unbiased information. Motives other than giving education other than freedom of speech and being neutral informant. As far as I am concerned there is no freedom of speech as long press is owned by huge media corporations. As long they obey laws of finance and what is worthy of writing about is measured in money. What and who is being silenced? Marxism shows in strange light in this fight. In the light of neo-liberal profit-making. What kind of knowledge public has on political ideologies?

As amazing as it sounds and as much loath Communism and anything related to Marxism has had, because of Marx’s ideas, Socialism works its way, finds new followers and making strong opposition within and outside capitalist institutions. Historical almost relic picture, but living concepts and ideologies kept alive systematically because there is need to survive, there is need for rebellion still. Needless to ask why. Do ideologies such as Marxism and Communism have something to contribute and to give to our contemporary time other than division between workers and rulers of finance world? Something which is lacking is empathy and compassion, still. What could be there that is universal and timeless? There is a strong tendency in most rebellions and revolutions to have been connected to labour movements, Communism, Marxism, Socialism and have had to do with making conditions of living better for working people. To remove oppression and slavery has been agenda number one.

Distant Marxism, distant revolution, far away portrait of a thinker who triggered such thorough mental, social, cultural and physical change  that it seems almost impossible to think world of ideas without Karl Marx.

Everything there is to save. Glory and perspectives into life saving and emotional meanings of being saved. Can we save ourselves? What there is to save is everything we have got.

Saving is good and forgiving. Something indestructible and sacred like a blessing. It is to say I want to do good. I want my life to be part of doing good. To find norms of doing good is probably and hopefully a common path to choose. Good is a human thing to do. What is bad then? Why is it seen as animalistic behavior and how does punishment fall upon us? It is easy to find and know what are the good things, worth preserving. Still those good things aren’t self-evidently saved. Rescuing is a well-meaning term and act of a kind heart as is to save a life a heroic deed. With heroism we can go on thinking wholehearted patriotism of good people, who have chosen to call themselves good and easily continue to warring against bad people, against something evil. Pride and hurt, defense and attack, opposites fighting to win. Opposites disliking each other. Do we ultimately save bodies when we save lives or do we save souls, someone, a person and to whom are these tasks of saving given in the end? Do we save and preserve because it is a good thing, socially acknowledged, because we are bound to take care of each other or because role of a savior brings glory or all of those things? What does human life consist of is a complex mess of sides to having life, preserving life the organic and bloody and then facing death evidently. To be given life, be thankful for it and which no one should take away or end. We act for the good of all by saving someone from suffering. To do good may help that other to continue do good.

There are some radical contradictions in the picture of salvation. First what is salvasion, how we pursue it, how we select which ones are worthy of rescuing and how we place grounds for saving. In order to be saved something has to be gone wrong. Our inhabiting the world being one major threat and violent act against the world, against ourselves. Our blue planet, our nature, nature of having and owning. What is what is rightfully ours are our lives.

Us against us, we against animals. It is a place of excellence to put oneself against, on place of righteousness, of knowing and having force over. People who have placed themselves on pedestals to have leadership. It is one way of evolving and building cultures, to follow something, someone who knows where to go. How long does master race last on that mastering spot? There is the world of nature of which we are part organically, biologically, on cell level and also mentally we still have animal instincts in us working

until nothing else is left than a wreck and a mutilated body. It can be said it is our nature to be violent when looking at the evidence, the history of man. There are some radical contradictions in the picture of salvation; how we pursue it, how we select which ones are worthy of rescuing and how we place grounds for saving.

To save a life is heroic deed. I can’t help of being cynical and think that there have been more or less desperate attempts in the name of saving the world. It is clear people acknowledge we need saving. It is a used theme in movies to give us, viewers, hope that someone is doing good for all of us. We like to see world in need of saving, but we inhabit and use it violently. I use the word world in the meaning it entails us in it, even though we, people like to use world as a tool of ours, which supposedly is outside of us and is for us. I see it, world, as us, in us, inseparable entity which deserves our respect and which is stronger than us self-evidently. We, humans are the ones who need constant saving, we are desperate for saving, hardcore rescuing of souls and minds is needed to mend our bad doings, to save something that is good. The world and its saving operation as it is us, becomes sensible, possible and actually realistic in religious context. It is sad and in the same time joyful situation of hopeful collective understanding which has got to do with faith. But does religion change ethics, attitudes and perspective of man when in the end he wants to save himself?

Why does it look like it is very often irrationality manifesting and presenting itself perfectly. How something very rational as Western modern straight mono culture can turn into being irrational, or has it been like that all along all the time. Something we have been afraid to acknowledge and see, the lunacy of ours in disguise. Modern mixed with Christianity tightly like the Stone Age mixed and living along with cyber space technology. Denying our mental illnesses as something out of demons, something to be hidden as dangerous, something to be killed is to deny ourselves. Crusades ongoing today in our world appear crazy on any scale. There are quite a number of people who have a very good and high opinion about themselves, but they do hateful acts in repeat, rightfully in their eyes for some reason they fail to see hate in their actions.
